Strathcona, East Vancouver Engagement Session

So you've been where I've just come
From the land that brings losers on
So we will share this road we walk
And mind our mouths and beware our talk
'Til peace we find, tell you what I'll do
All the things I own I will share with you
And, if I feel tomorrow like I feel today
We'll take what we want and give the rest away

Strangers on this road we are on
We are not two, we are one
- The Kinks

Tannis and Julian are two real cool and quirky cats. Well they also have two cats, but these two - I am a BIG FAN of these two. Tannis being a Photographer herself she knew she wanted someone to produce images that spoke to her creative soul. Nothing contrived and nothing over done, just her and her best friend looking like they normally do.

When we talked about locations for their Engagement session. We chatted about doing a couple’s session where they grew up (they are highschool sweeties-ish) in White Rock. However they have really built their relationship in East Vancouver. They live in Strathcona filled with colourful buildings, old victorian homes, and gorgeous wild flowers popping up in the summer. Together, we decided a home session + walk about for their engagement session was the perfect pairing. I swear it was THE HOTTEST day of the summer, but these two were up for anything and everything (including sitting on a random persons porch because the colour palette was too dope not too).

I am so excited for their wedding in a couple of weeks, taking place at Hycroft Manor. That place embodies old glamour and modern beauty all wrapped into one.

See you both so very soon!
