Settlement Building Wedding, East Vancouver
Don't, don't break the spell.
It would be different, and you know it will.
You, you make loving fun,
And I don't have to tell you, but you're the only one.
- Fleetwood Mac
MAT AND ALEX ARE THE BEST HUMANS EVER. YES I AM TYPE YELLING.
But furreal, getting to know these two is like when you meet your bestie for the first couple times and you’re trying to play it cool because you like them so much but you don’t want to come off as a stage 5 clinger.
The day started at the Shangri La Vancouver with the ladies, while Britt was with the guys in Chinatown. It was a Photographer’s dream - they let me plan their timeline - “You know best”. Alex was chill and smiling all morning, while her sisters and momma helped her get ready. By the time we were ready for Mat & Alex’s First Look, they were both buzzing with excitement.
The Settlement Building, also known as PostMark and Belgard Kitchen, was the most perfect backdrop for Alex and Mat’s Wedding. A mixture of industrial and Modern, the fresh touches of greenery and a lux Leather couch made for a perfect stylized Ceremony location. Among their nearest and dearest friends and family, they confessed their love to one another, laughed through the tears, and hugged tight when it was time for their first kiss.
Mat & Alex listened to the most beautiful words uttered by their friends and family through their reception. It’s something so exquisite really, hearing stories about one another long before they became a unit. I found myself tearing up on more than one occasion through out the night.
Alex - You literally made peoples jaws drop with your outer beauty, but it cannot compare to your inner self. You have such a glow, a light that is infectious and hilarious I am so fortunate to now call you a friend.
Mat - OH BOY. You my friend will go down in my businesses history as THE FUNNIEST groom ever. You had me in stitches through first through the Engagement session, then all through out your wedding day. You also made Britt and I feel like we were apart of the gang - and for that I say “THANK YOU MY DUDE”.
Can’t wait to get our pupachino’s aka floofers aka doggo’s together very very soon!
